Winchester Community Awards
Did you know that you could help Winchester earn money just by doing your regular shopping at Kroger, Busch’s and Amazon?
Simply follow the instructions on the attached pdf document below to link your account from each store to Winchester Elementary. Once your account is linked, no additional work is required by you. With every shopping trip, Winchester automatically earns money.
Attendance Letters
We know that there are times when a child will be absent due to illness including fever, vomiting, diarrhea, or communicable disease. If your child has any symptoms that fall into these categories, please keep them home until they are fever free or have not had diarrhea or vomiting for 24 hours.
We also know that families have other events that may keep a child home from school. These would include medical visits, professional appointments, funerals, and observation or celebration of a religious holiday.
Please notify the office and your child's teacher if they are going to be out for any reason so we can make sure they are marked excused.
We believe communication from school to home is essential in developing a mutual support system to encourage student attendance and make sure we are all aware of the number of absences that have accrued in one semester. The school will be notifying parents by letter when a student has 4-6 absences within a semester, again once they reach 7-10, after 12-14, after 15, and after 20 absences within the same semester.

The attached file provides details of how to submit pictures at https://studio.balfour.com/ezpix/ or using the Balfour ImageShare app. Images must be high-resolution .jpg or .png format.
The Yearbook Committee will review all photos and determine final yearbook content. We cannot guarantee that all submissions can be used (for example, low picture quality), but we do make every effort to utilize all images. We need and appreciate all picture submissions as these make up a large part of our yearbook each year! Please submit only high-resolution photos that are school related activities/clubs.
SCHOOL LUNCH PROGRAM
The Northville Public Schools provides a hot lunch program for interested students.
Families must preorder lunches for preschools and elementary students. Orders must be in by 8:00 AM for preschool students and 8:30 AM for elementary students to receive a lunch that day. The system will not allow you to order after the time listed above. For your convenience, meals can be preordered up to 30 days in advance. To avoid any issues, we recommend ordering the night before. You will need your Students Student ID number to complete the order.
Infectious Disease Response to COVID 2022-23
Students and staff that contract COVID should follow the Health Department recommendations and isolate for five days from the date where symptoms were present or from the date of their positive rapid or PCR test. Isolation includes waiting to return to school until the isolation period has ended. It is also recommended that students or staff should wear a mask for 5 days past their isolation period. See MDHHS Graphic below.
Parents should notify their child’s school of the absence reason so that teachers are aware of the student's absence period and our nurses can follow the health department’s infectious disease requirements. NPS School Nurses are available should you have any questions.
