Tech Tidbits From Your ITS {2016-2017 v.4}

It's Fall Y'all!

Happy 2nd day of fall! With three weeks of school down, I want to make sure all 1st-5th teachers have gotten their students logged into the computer, into CLEVER, and {for at least 3rd and up} moving in the direction of Google. Are you there yet? Teachers, let me know how we're doing by answering the short survey below!

Columns in Google Docs!

You asked for it and you got it! I think the most common question I received while doing GAfE training this year was about creating columns in Google Docs. Google just announced that you can do two and three column layouts in Google Docs. You can find this wonderful new feature under the Format menu in Docs.

Reminder!!!

If you get prompted to request access when attempted to open a shared Google document, make sure you are using your short email address to log in. (ex: jmfreder@vbschools.com not jamie.frederick@vbschools.com)

You have the option to choose a different account. Select that and sign in with your short VBSchools email address. This will grant you access to the document. Sometimes teachers and administrators want to share documents only within the VBSchools community so you have to be logged in with your correct email address to view it.
