~ Monthly Building Goal Update ~
McIntire students in grades one through five will improve their STAR math scores by 1.3 grade levels by May 2019 as measured using the Grade Equivalent on the STAR Math Growth Report.
- By March 14, the Grade Equivalent on the STAR Math Growth Report showed an increase in .9 grade levels for students in grades 1-5.
- This means we are just below target to reach our math goal. However, it does mean students are making 1 1/4 months worth of growth for every month we are in school.
McIntire students in grades two through five will improve their STAR reading scores by 1.2 grade levels by May 2019 as measured using the Independent Reading Level on the STAR Reading Growth Report.
- By December 21, the Independent Reading Level on the STAR Reading Growth Report showed an increase in .7 grade levels for students in grades 2-5.
- This means we are on are not on target to reach our reading goal. However, it does mean for each month we are in school, students are making a month's worth of growth.
McIntire Elementary will improve students’ learning in all subject areas by ensuring 90% of students attend school 90% of the time during the 2018-2019 academic year.
- Currently, we have 82.55% of our students attending school 90% of the time.
- Please help us reach our goal by scheduling appointments on PD days or after school, when possible.
- Attendance meetings were held the week before spring break. Attendance letters will be sent this week.
- Now that influenza activity is low for our area, we will begin out first McIntire Attendance Madness. The bracket is below. The winning class will choose their prize: pizza with the principals, trail walk, or extra recess.
The number of students in grades K - 5 who have 0 to 1 office discipline referrals will increase from 76.26% during the 2017-2018 school year to 80% during the 2018-2019 school year as measured by SWIS.
- Currently, 86.51% of students in K-5 have 0-1 office discipline referrals.
