Student Absences

Just a reminder that parents/guardians need to use the Messenger app/website to report student absences. Please do not phone in or e-mail the school. Below is a video tutorial on how to report student absences.

We will be fundraising for our Gr. 7-8 Quebec City trip through www.flipgive.com. Our team code is JYRJZ6. As most of us do online shopping, all we have to do is log in through flipgive and then follow their links to amazon, etc. Each purchase will return a small percentage back to our school, plus it costs us nothing extra to raise funds, just a couple of extra clicks! The whole school community is being given this link and you are encouraged to share it with your friends and family.

All funds raised will go directly to offsetting the cost of this trip for JPS students.

Thank you for your assistance.

If you have any questions regarding this trip please don’t hesitate to contact me at the school or send me an email at fleetd@limestone.on.ca

Safe Arrival & Pick Up

As part of the Ontario Government's Safe Welcome program, all elementary schools have secure access where all doors are locked during the school day when students are inside the building (doors will be unlocked at recess). Parents/Guardians are still welcome to access the building through the front door. You will need to ring the buzzer (to the right) when you arrive and a staff member will assist you. If you plan to stay at the school between 8:50-3:35, please sign in and get a visitor or volunteer tag. We also ask that if you are waiting for your child, that you wait outside the office and not by the classrooms or in the hallways. If possible (we know that at times there are appointments/circumstances that can't be helped!), we ask that you wait until 3:35 to pick up your child. This will help decrease the interruptions into the classrooms as our students are learning until 3:35. We thank you for your cooperation and support with this initiative.

Our Buses

Here's a few reminders...

  • enter south/west (closest to Hwy 401), exit north/east (closest to Hwy 15) - as usual
  • additional parking spaces are by the fence - please park in open parking spaces or on the road (please never park in the bus lane - this is also our emergency vehicle route)
  • buses will enter the parking lot single file (so students will not have to go through the parking lot to to embark/disembark)
  • student drop off/pick up zone is the area just outside the office windows by the planters - for safety reasons, students and parents may NOT walk in between the buses to get to and from vehicles
  • the accessible parking is the first/closest parking space in the lot

Donate your old JPS swag!

Got t-shirts/sweatshirts that don't fit anymore? Instead of giving them away, please consider donating them back to the school! Thank you to those parents who have already donated their old JPS t-shirts! The office smells heavenly of fresh laundry! MMmmmmm.....
