MCCHS FRIDAY FOCUS
52nd Edition: November 26, 2017
Pilgrims on the Way of Truth
Student anxiety seems to be at the heart of many concerns. In this quarter's Conversations that Matter (Thursday night at 7pm in the Cafeteria) we will be exploring ways to help raise resilient teens. As parents and educators, we cannot change or remove the mountains our children are destined to encounter in their lives; however, we must do everything we can to make sure that they have the skills to conquer them. Do they have the knowledge, determination, strength, and faith to push forward and do what's right even when they feel they cannot? Please join us this Thursday evening as we explore ways to help support our students.
Speaking of conversations that matter - Ms. Novy will be hosting our next Principal's Coffee this Tuesday at 8:00 am in the school cafeteria. There are many wonderful developments planned for our dear school, and many ideas have been generated from our continued communication with parents and students! If you are available, please consider joining Ms. Novy Tuesday morning!
A HUGE shout-out to the wonderfully talented cast, crew, and directors of this year's Fall Play, The Miracle Worker. It was a very complex script and demanded technical precision, and our students delivered a genuine, thoughtful production. As we consider the resilience of the human spirit, the messages explored in this timeless story were immediately accessible to us all.
Thank you to all who submitted information about your students' service contributions beyond Marian Central. We had over forty-five submissions! We realize this represents only a fraction of what our students actually contribute through school and beyond, but we felt it was important to let them all know just how thankful we are for living the faith. It was wonderful, too, to have so many family members join us for our Thanksgiving Mass!
Our apologies for the late arrival of this newsletter, but we hope you all enjoyed time with your families too!
