Athens Visual Essay

Introduction
Athens was one of the biggest known city-states in ancient Greece. They thrived of their trading and had big harbors/ports. Athens won the Persian wars which made Greece a stronger place in 449 B.C. to 500 B.C.. Unlike Sparta Athens wasn't mainly focused on war and winning. Athens also had no city defenses. Athens was very strong in education, government and economy (trade).
