Semester 1 Grades/NCAs
Please check PowerSchool for your (your child's) first semester grades. This step is vital to verify you (your child) doesn't have any NCA grades (No Credit Achieved). If there is an NCA (more than 5 absences) in any class from 1st semester those NCA grades need to be resolved as soon as possible for them to change to the grade earned. Please connect with our attendance office to confirm opportunities to work time for time or attend Saturday School.
Another important note for first semester grades, is that grades can be improved at the end of 2nd semester in mastery classes only (Summit courses) For example, 1st semester is a C grade and 2nd semester is an B grade - we retroactively replace the 1st semester with a B grade). These retroactive changes will happen at the end of the second grading period.
Parent Feedback - Wildcat Way Survey
Wildcat Families,
A great start to the 2nd half of the 2022-2023 school year, wow, how it’s gone fast. We just finished up grade level assemblies yesterday in the auditorium. We had a little bit of a different message for each grade level; however, our focus was on a few things. Items that we concentrated on were Living the Wildcat Way, Hopes, Dreams, and Focus. The middle point in the school year is a great time of the year to reflect. As a school and staff, we sincerely want to know how we are doing as a school regarding our learners living The Wildcat Way. With this information our team will work together to take action on what we can do to improve in this area. If you could take just a few minutes of your time to complete this survey, this is a survey that we gave and had students complete while they were in the assembly yesterday. It’s great to hear from our students and it’s important to hear from other stakeholders and get your perspective. Thank you in advance.

Please make sure to complete the FAFSA for financial aid if you haven’t done so yet.
We have 191 seniors so far who have applied to college/trade/military. Please continue working on those applications. If you need help, please see Ms. Baeza.
FAFSA Competition
We are having a healthy FAFSA Competition among our Skyview, Nampa, and Columbia. This is based on the percentage of FAFSA's completed by each senior class at each high school. Meaning the school with the highest completion rate will win. We have extended our deadline to January. The school with the highest FAFSA completion percentage that senior class will get a big prize! Our goal is at least 50%!!!
Skyview is still in the lead!
Besides the FAFSA competition among all three comprehensive high schools, Ms. Baeza also has a Class of 2023 FAFSA Finish Line for the seniors!
All seniors who complete the FAFSA will get a Columbia T-shirt and some other fun Columbia School spirit things. All those who complete the FAFSA will also get their name entered into a drawing for fun prizes.
