University of Washington - Bothell

Dear Resident,

This email is to keep you informed about issues in our community. On Thursday night/early Friday morning three car prowls occurred in the Husky Village parking lot. Residents reported that personal items were taken from their vehicle. Residents have done a great job reporting issues to the RA and Campus Safety. Thank you for your efforts!

As a result, incidents have been report to Campus Security and Bothell Police Department and there is an ongoing investigation. Additionally, Res Life staff will work to educate residents with safety reminders and continue to provide RA on Duty services, Campus Safety will conduct additional rounds through the parking lot and Bothell PD will be called to take finger prints and take reports. For fingerprints to be completed, please leave the car as untouched as possible until Bothell PD arrives.

The Res Life Staff would also like to remind you about these important safety tips:

· Secure your vehicle – lock doors and roll up windows

· Do not leave anything of value in your vehicle

· Continue to report any concerns immediately (suspicious persons, car alarms, loud noises, etc) by calling the RA on Duty (206-245-5536) or Campus Safety (425-352-5359)

· Remember to keep your apartment door locked, even when you are inside

· Make it a habit of locking the deadbolt behind you

· When you leave the apartment, make sure all windows and the slider door are secure

If you have additional questions or concerns, please talk with your RA or RD. Thank you for working to keep our community safe and secure!
