Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!
St. Pauls High School - May 4-8, 2020
Celebrating Our Teachers!
National Teacher Appreciation Week is always the first full week in May, and it is a time to recognize the contributions teachers make towards the education of their students and the impact they have upon their lives. Teachers are usually honored with various trinkets, gift cards, candy, or notes of appreciation, among other gifts from students, parents, and principals.
Teacher Appreciation Week 2020 is on the calendar to be celebrated May 4th - 8th, with May 5th being National Teacher Day. However, this year's celebration will be greatly different from every other Teacher Appreciation Week in the past. With the threat of COVID-19, everyone is ordered to stay at home and students are being taught remotely. There will not be any face-to-face moments of gratitude bestowed on teachers by students and neither will there be any hugs or high fives exchanged between teachers and students. Yet, it will be okay!
Teachers will not be broken by missing out on the one week of the school year where they are honored for their hard work because they have been celebrating all along whenever a student reached a goal or crossed a milestone to experience success. Teachers will fix their crowns and they will go on! The truth is, that is how they roll!
