Two Community 360 Spring Series Events this Week!
We have two important Community 360 Spring Series events this week:
- Tomorrow, November 5th, 6:00 PM, Agoura Performing Arts Center: On the Way to School Screening. In many parts of the world, getting to school is a challenge in itself, and this globetrotting documentary shows us what some young people must face simply to make it to the classroom. Touching and inspiring, On the Way to School celebrates the strength, determination, and courage of these young students willing to brave great obstacles in order to pursue their education.
- Thursday, November 8th, 8:30 AM, District Office Board Room- Coffee and Conversation: Managing Stress and Anxiety. LVUSD Counselors Melissa Gillespie and Kathleen O'Connell will provide strategies for managing stress and anxiety as a family. We'll provide an overview of stress and tools that you can offer your children to support their self-care.
We hope to see you there! Please RSVP through the link below to attend these free events.

New Event: e-Cigarette, Vaping, and Addiction Community Presentation
The Las Virgenes Unified School District is adding a December 17th evening presentation at the Agoura High School PAEC focussing on the rise of vaping, e-Cigarette, and addiction issues in the greater community. Since receiving a Proposition 56 Tobacco Grant this past Spring, LVUSD is growing as a regional leader in providing community education around this important issue. Please plan on attending to learn about the discrete nature of these devices, the targeted marketing to minors, and the health and addiction risks associated with their use.
