Congratulations to all students who made the All A Honor Roll and the A/B Honor Roll for Second Quarter. We will be recognizing these students in the coming weeks and will have an Honor Roll Assembly at the end of the school year highlighting student achievement.
Parents, please ask your child about their 2014-2015 Planner that was purchased at the beginning of the year to see if they are using it and that they are using it accurately. This is a great tool for students and we hope that each of them will become more comfortable with it as time goes on.
Students that are struggling in a subject can come in for extra help before school or during their advisory period. Each teacher has a slightly different time they offer extra help, so I encourage your child to ask those specific teachers when extra help is offered and to take advantage of it. I will be meeting with students that failed 2 or more classes individually and this is one strategy that I will recommend.
txConnect is the Parent Portal to look at your child‘s grades. The link below will take you to the site to sign up.
Course Selections for next year:
I will be meeting with each grade level in the spring to discuss classes and transitioning to the next grade. More information and meeting dates will be announced in late February.
Remember to send in your box tops!! This is an easy way for our school to raise extra money.
I am available by email, phone, or by appointment if your child is having issues in any area of their life. Parents are welcome to contact me and I encourage student’s to stop by when they need extra help.
