Shout out to 1st grade teachers Ms. Hopkins and Ms.Hayes. They have some challenging children in their classrooms with some very challenging and very distracting behaviors. Every day I can imagine that it requires taking a deep breathe and re-setting of oneself. Their classrooms are inviting and I think they are doing a good job supporting their kiddos. -Alyson St. Amand

Attendance
Greetings! To kick off the final stretch of 2019, Miner will be engaging in Winter Attendance Wars! Each grade-level (K-5) will be competing for the Title of ‘Best Attendance,’ meaning students are on-time and present every day. Attendance wars will began today, December 2nd and run until December 20th!
If any one is interested in passing out stickers to students so they can mark themselves present and one time on their grade-level charts, please see Ms. Offor.
Operations
- Student Surveys continue this week. Please adhere to the schedule provided by Ms. Offor.
- To keep accurate data of all employees time it's very important that everyone sign-in and sign-out every day. When signing in and out please write legibly so we can understand the time you're writing on the timesheets. We want to make sure everyone is being paid the correct hours worked. Also, if there is an emeregency, the log provides information with regards to who is in the building.
- Preventing Sexual Harrassment Training: Please ensure you have compelted or are completing the DCPS required trainig. The email was send on 9/30/19 and the training is due by January. THis is required to be updated every 2 years.
- Youth Behavioral Health Training - This training is also due every two years and mus be compelted by January. It can be found here: https://www.supportdcyouth.com
