A message from Mr. Mathisen, LVISD Director of Technology.

This Monday we experienced a problem with JAMF, our Mobile Device Management tool, that caused students' iPads to lose their profiles. This resulted in many students experiencing the temporary loss of Applications and in some cases a loss of data. We were able to correct the problem and spent all of Tuesday repairing the devices that were affected.

We are sorry for the loss of instructional time and any inconveniences that were caused by the event. We have isolated the problem and have taken measures to prevent this form happening again.

Spotlight on Quality Character

Each month, LVHS teachers will be nominating two students per grade level (one boy/one girl) who exemplify the character trait of the month. We want to recognize

students who consistently demonstrate positive character on our campus! This month, we are highlighting the character trait of “Trustworthiness” ~~ being worthy of confidence, dependable, always willing to do the right thing!

And a poster contest this month!

Students are encouraged to get creative and design a poster (11” x 17”) that shows their interpretation of “Trustworthiness”. Statement and integration of the trait should appear on the poster. Our winners will be recognized at the October meeting of the LVISD Board of Trustees. Posters are due to Mrs. Slaughter by 4:00 pm, October 5! Please see Mrs. Slaughter or Mr. Larkin for more information and contest rules.

Curious about the character trait for October? R-E-S-P-E-C-T!
