IMPORTANT CHROMEBOOK REMINDER
Community of Character Award
I think we'd all agree this start to the school year has been like none other. In the midst of the crazy, hopefully, you've experienced some kindness and generosity along the way. If you can readily call to mind someone who has positively impacted you, your students, your building recently, I hope you'll consider nominating (click this link) one or more of these individuals for a Community of Character Award. These annual awards celebrate the stories of people in our community who are making a positive difference.
Nominations may come from any audience (student, parent, teacher, administrator, support staff) and the nominee can also be from any audience. The judges are looking for a 'story' (the more detail the better), and if you can identify a particular trait that the story exemplifies, feel free to use that verbiage in the nomination.
You can click on this link and fill out the form electronically.
Thanks so much for taking the time to nominate someone deserving of recognition! Hope to see you Thursday, January 21, 2021, at the 15th Annual Mayor's Character Breakfast, where the award recipients will be honored.

A few notes on protocols and health guidelines for LSR7
* Staff and students wear masks at all times unless we are taking a mask break while socially distanced.
* Students will hand wash and/or sanitize hands each time they leave and enter a new space. Ex: from classroom to art, from PE to recess, from classroom to lunch, etc. . .
* Classroom desks/tables will be sanitized each time students eat breakfast.
* Students will maintain consistent seating charts in classrooms, at lunch, in special class and students will have assigned line orders. These practices will help us should we need to contact trace.
* The schedule has been build with extra time in between recesses and special class so equipment and materials can be cleaned.
