Welcome Back
E-Registration Is Now Open!
Every student, every school year, must complete the E-Registration forms on PowerSchool. These forms allow our families to update contact and emergency information, give permission for field trips and photos, and to have “Book Fees” waived or reduced if qualified. E-Registration is located in the Parent PowerSchool site under “Navigation” (on the left side of the page). At the end of each page you will be prompted to click continue or submit to move on to the next page.

Please complete E-Registration today! The Franklin computer lab (Room 210) will be open for completing E-Registration on our Back To School Night as well. If you have any questions regarding E-Registration, please contact our Main Office at 558-2452.

Important Need to Knows
What are school hours?
What is the Cell Phone Policy?
As technology continues to make life easier, and has done wonders for communication, it has also created more challenges. In a school setting it has created obstacles such as cheating and cyber bullying. Students struggle with appropriate cellphone use and tend to disrupt the learning environment with these items. Due to the many distractions a cellphone can create, students are required to turn cellphones off when entering the school building and keep them off during the school day. At the end of the school day when the student is leaving school they may resume use. Cell phones are not allowed to be used in the restroom and locker room for any reason.
For further details, please see the Parent Handbook that will be available for pick-up at Back to School Night.
Where do students wait before school?
In the morning students will wait in the following areas:
- 6th Grade: Front of the building. Students will enter through front doors.
- 7th Grade: Northern portion of building. Students will enter through main parking lot doors.
- 8th Grade: Upper B Avenue Entrance. Students will enter through B Ave. door.
At 7:43 students will be allowed indoors. The 7 minutes is adequate time for the students to get to their locker, grab their appropriate materials, and arrive into their classroom for morning announcements.
Where to Drop Off & Pick Up?
*** VERY IMPORTANT ***
For the safety of our students and staff we encourage you to carefully read through the map below. The cooperation and patience of all our families is essential as we orchestrate the hustle and bustle of the morning and afternoon.
Guidelines for Success
In every area of our building we have well-defined and effective expectations. Whether students in are in a classroom, student lounge, cafeteria, or simply waiting for the school day to begin, students are taught the behavioral expectation for all common areas. The expectations were designed to be clear, age appropriate, detailed, reasonable, and used by both students and staff. Positive social behaviors are introduced, modeled, and reinforced and are an important part of a student's educational experience. To help students with meeting these behavior expectations we follow our Guidelines for Success.
Guidelines for Success represent a set of skills, traits, and attitudes that everyone in school always strive to demonstrate. Simply stated, these are our goals, lifelong learning strategies, or codes of conduct. This school-wide system was designed to help to create a safe, civil, and productive school.
Fall Sports
In order for students to participate they need an up-to-date physical and a signed concussion form. If you have any questions regarding these forms please contact our Health Office.
6th Graders will have plenty of opportunities to be active throughout the year for music, fine arts, and intramurals/clubs. We will keep students and families informed of these activities. Stay tuned!
