PSAT Reminder
Students are allowed to bring a calculator for testing, but it must meet the acceptable calculator policy found on page 34 of the PSAT Student Guide.
Report Cards and Assessment Data
On this same day, students will bring home results from the 8th grade ACAP and the Fall Fastbridge Assessment. Please review over these assessment results with your student. Linked below is a guide to help you understand the Fastbridge Family Report that will be sent home.
PowerSchool Parent Portal
Last week, PowerSchool Parent Portal Access ID's were sent home with progress reports. This document provided the information needed to create a Parent Portal account and link the student to the parent account. If the parent/guardian did not receive this information with progress reports, the parent/guardian will need to come by the FFC office with picture identification to be provided the correct Access ID and Access Password.
Each child has a unique Access ID and Access Password. Parents will need to use each one to link the students account to their Parent Portal account. Parents/Guardians setup and maintain their PS Parent Portal account. If you forget your username or password, you will navigate to the PS Parent Portal and select “Forgot Username or Password” to reset.
Parent-Teacher Conferences

APPLY FOR UPWARD BOUND!
This program is designed for low income and/or first-generation college students. It is sponsored by Northwest Shoals Community College and requires an application process. If selected, students will receive free tutoring and academic advising, free college courses, field trips, etc. The application is attached and should be returned to Mrs. Jones in the Guidance Office. There is no deadline, but this is a competitive program, so the sooner it can be returned the greater your chances of being accepted!
FCS Child Nutrition Program
Florence City Schools will continue to participate in the Community Eligibility Program (CEP) for all grades, which would allow ALL FCS students to receive a free breakfast and lunch. A la carte items may still be purchased separately.
FCS’ cafeterias will be utilizing MySchoolBucks for money deposits, which will only be needed for a la carte items.
Online payments with MySchoolBucks are now available. Prepay your student's meal account online, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It is simple, fast and secure.
