PTO is looking for parents to fill the spots of the current PTO Executive Board - President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary and Member at Large. Please be a part of this exciting time at Cumberland Road Elementary. It's your chance to make a difference. Candidates for the 2017-2018 school year shall be presented to the nomination committee 1 week prior to elections on April 11th. Please submit your nomination form before Friday, March 24th.

CRES Construction Updates

In the coming months, CRES will be undergoing a major building-wide renovation that will begin this summer. One way we will keep our community informed is through the website found below. This site will be periodically updated as we receive more information from our architect and contractor. For now, please visit and download the latest plans to see what's in store for the future of Cumberland Road Elementary!

Family S.T.E.A.M

The Family S.T.E.A.M. Night Committee is requesting newspaper donations. Please send newspapers to Mrs. Sitzman’s 4th grade, Room 112, by Monday, March 20th.

2017-2018 Kindergarten On-line Registration

On-line registration for the 2017-2018 school year has now begun.

2017-2018 Cumberland Road Elementary Kindergarten Open House (NEW DATE)

Please join us on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 (please note date change) for our annual Kindergarten Open House.

Enjoy building tours, bus rides and meet the Kindergarten teachers!

Come anytime between 5:00-7:00 pm.

*Please have on-line registration complete before this date.

4th Grade Track Team

4th Grade Track is a club that is open to all 4th graders at Cumberland Road Elementary. There are 9 practices held after school beginning March 22nd and the team will compete in one track meet against three other schools on Tuesday, May 5th at Fishers HS. There is a $4.00 fee (REQUIRED) to cover the cost of transportation, ribbons and post season Awards Party, as well as a $7.50 cost (OPTIONAL) if you want to order a team t-shirt. Registration ends on Friday, March 10. There are 10 different events for the boys and for the girls. Everyone that joins the team will have the opportunity to participate. There is something for everyone. This is an exciting opportunity for you to show your school spirit as we race toward victory. If you need additional information or have any questions please contact your child’s 4th grade teacher or the coaches, Mr. Greiwe and Mr. Dankoski.

Lost and Found

Lost and Found items will be placed in the Hallways on the following dates:

May 11th

After one week in the hallway, they will be sent to Goodwill.

**Our Lost and Found is always available for parents to come in to check for missing items. Please check in at our office before heading to the Lost and Found.

Young Authors Book Displays

March 15, 2017


Fishers Elementary will be holding its first ever Cultural Fair on Wednesday, March 15.

There will be artwork, dancing, food, games, and classroom displays!

Young Authors books will also be available for viewing outside of most classrooms. We hope to see you there!!

1st Annual HSE Schools Jr. High Choral Festival

March 17, 2017, 7pm

Choirs from Fall Creek Jr. High, Fishers Jr. High, Hamilton Southeastern Jr. High and Riverside Jr. High will come together for

the 1st Annual HSE Jr. High Choral Festival!

*This is a ticketed event. See your local Jr. High Choir director for tickets and more information. *

Knights Cheerleader Call-outs

We welcome all current 4th and 5th grade students to try out for the Knights Travel Cheer Team for the upcoming 2017 season. Tryouts will be held on Saturday, May 13th at 12 pm @ Fishers High School Aux Gym. A mandatory clinic is scheduled for Friday, May 12th from 6 – 8 pm.

Parents must attend an informational meeting Friday during the clinic.

2017 Knights Travel Football Cheerleading

  • No Pre-registration necessary. You will complete a registration for S.P.O.R.T.S cheer at the parent meeting. Payment must be made before tryouts (no checks will be cashed prior to results)
  • Attendance at Clinic is Mandatory to be eligible to make the team
  • Grades Eligible 5th-6th for upcoming 2017-2018 school year
  • Practice twice a week starting June until the start of school
  • Games are every Saturday from August- October (including Labor Day Weekend and Fall Break)
  • Team Cost Estimated $300.00 (including registration fees)
  • Uniform/Practice Wear/Warm Ups/Back-Pack & Coaching (Discounted used uniform pieces will be available on a first come basis)
  • Cheerleaders are judged on Side Line Cheer, Jumps, Motions, Appearance and Enthusiasm!
  • Tumbling ability is only worth extra credit points/ It is not a requirement to make team
  • Knights Cheer encourages strong academics. Bring a copy of your report card for extra credit points!

Tiger Night Lights

The Fishers Tigers Football team will be hosting Tiger Night Lights for all 1st through 4th grade boys. You are invited to join Fishers High School head coach, Rick Wimmer, members of the coaching staff and Tiger football players for an evening of fun, football and pizza. Boys will get to talk football and be coached by Tiger coaches and players, participate in some non-contact football drills, play games and compete in the Tiger Football Combine Experience much like drills used in the NFL Combine. Pizza and drinks will be provided at the end of the night and players and coaches will be available for autographs.

WHEN: Friday, March 24th (includes T-Shirt)

6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

WHERE: Fishers High School Gymnasium

(Enter in Main entrance. Sign in by cafeteria)

COST: $30.00

(Make checks payable to Fishers Gridiron Club)

· Entire evening will be chaperoned by football parents, players and coaches

· One-on-one interaction with the FHS coaches and players

· Pizza will be served after football drills and competitions around 10:00 p.m.


· Reservations preferred, but walk-ins are welcome
