Deep in the Heart of Fulshear
Howdy Hounds!
I hope all of our Hounds have enjoyed their four day weekend! We can't wait to hear about adventures and memories that were made.
This week is Volunteers in Public School week, and we are very much looking forward to celebrating all of our amazing parent volunteers that help make our school THE BEST! To our volunteers that work in a variety of capacities, please join us for our Volunteer Brunch on Thursday, April 21st at 10:00am hosted by the Huggins Staff. If you have not had a chance to do so, please submit your RSVP so that we can include you in our count.
Starting Tuesday, we will be running a Dollar Drive to support the Lamar Educational Awards Foundation. All proceeds will go to LEAF, which was stablished in 2000 to benefit the students of Lamar CISD. It is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization governed by a volunteer board of directors that includes local business, industry, and community leaders. The Foundation provides funds beyond the normal operating budget for educational programs and activities for students and staff. Check out the flyer below for more details!
Please be sure to scroll below for important updates as we head into the end of the school year, including our Pre-K and Kindergarten Round-up on Thursday, April 28th at 5:30pm.
Enjoy the beautiful weather!
Sincerely,
Bethany Cunningham
Principal

School Meals...
Lamar CISD has announced its participation in the Seamless Summer Option for the 2021-2022 school year, offering healthy meals every school day to all students at no cost.
Typically, a student’s household must meet income eligibility requirements to qualify for free or reduced-price meals. However, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) issued guidance that allows schools to offer meals to all students at no cost for the 2021-2022 school year.
While no application or eligibility determination is required for our students to receive free meals this school year, income eligibility requirements will likely resume in the 2022-2023 school year.
Extra lunch entrees and a la carte items are not included with the no cost meals.
