News and Updates from FSMA
We are GROWING!
Adults - come out tonight to celebrate (Tonic in Wilmington from 6 - 9 pm)
On Thursday, the building was abuzz with tales of leprechauns and their mischievous behavior. Classrooms were "messed up" and traps were set to remedy the silliness of the tricky beings who left their green mark all over the school. The teachers and students really got into this special day and there was a sea of green in every classroom.
Field Trip Fun!
Our 4th, 5th and 6th graders were out and about this week. On Wednesday, they traveled to The Grand on Market St to see a play about Ellis Island. On the way back they walked through Rodney Square and saw the flowers they planted in the fall beginning to sprout. On Thursday, they headed to Philadelphia and visited the Franklin Institute. They were able to explore the museum as well as check out the Pixar Exhibit - sooo cool!
When we return from Spring Break, Smarter Balanced Testing starts for 3rd - 6th graders in Language Arts and Math. So as not to overwhelm children, the testing period will be spread out over the month. Teachers are encouraging children to do their best and are working hard to keep it a stress-free environment. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions.
