Giving Thanks!
Dear St. Matthew families and supporters,
We hope this finds you refreshed after a relaxing Thanksgiving break. Thanksgiving is probably my favorite holiday- no stress of buying gifts; just enjoying company with friends and family.
Even though we had a short month at school, it was filled with great faith forming activities and our students are working hard in the classroom as well.
As we prepare for the coming of Jesus during this Advent season, may we always feel God's love and spread it to all we see, even in the most everyday activities.

Vocations Awareness Week
The week of Nov. 8 all St. Matthew students recognized Vocations week. Each day a video was shared with each class with a Prayer and reflection for Vocations. Each day classrooms were asked to pray throughout the day for vocations. They documented their prayers on these paper churches and posted them in the commons to display all the prayers we've lifted up for all vocations.

Catholic Questions (and answers)
What can I do to help my prayer life?
There are simple ways to strengthen your prayer life. 1. As you awake, offer a prayer. 2. When you go to bed, offer a prayer. 3. When you are in the car, turn off the radio and spend time in prayer.
There are also apps to help guide through the prayer process. 1. Hallow 2. Click to Pray 3. Rosary App 4.Divine Mercy Chaplet App
Hope that some of these will be useful as we refresh our spiritual life this Advent and into the rest of the Liturgical year!
