A HUGE SHOUT OUT TO OUR AMAZING STAFF AND STUDENTS!
We are proud to announce that 24, 3rd-5th grade students scored 90% or above on the spring 2023 CMAS state assessment! Way to work hard Cheetahs!
For three consecutive years, Chatfield has received a Performance rating status. According to Colorado's Department of Education, this means we are meeting expectations on the majority of performance metrics the state uses to measure achievement and growth of students.

| Sight Word Memory Game Select 5-10 words your child needs to work on. Have your child write one word on each index card, or any other thick paper. Be sure you can't see the word when you flip the card over. Shuffle all of the cards and turn the cards face down in rows. When it’s your turn, turn over two cards, trying to find a match. Read each word. If the cards match, keep the cards and play again. If the cards don’t match, turn the cards back over and it’s the next player takes their turn. COUNSELOR CORNER
Hello Chatfield Families,
The counseling program is off to a great start! All students have learned about the role of a school counselor and have begun talking about growth mindset, empathy, and respect in their classrooms. Our counseling lunch groups are in full swing again. Lunch Bunch is the most requested small group in 1st-5th grade - currently, 60 students are participating during the first quarter! We will be starting other small groups that address issues of grief, anxiety, and changing families soon.
If you are interested in your child participating in additional counseling services, you are welcome to reach out to me or complete a request form (English) (Spanish). Also, don’t hesitate to contact me if you have questions about my role or the counseling program in general. I wholeheartedly believe that partnering with parents is a huge part of supporting kids at school!
Did You Know?
Families can sign up to receive extra food every Friday! Kids Aid is a FREE food assistance program that provides bags of food to children in need of food for the weekend. Be looking for an enrollment form sent home in your child’s Tuesday folder soon!
