Each month four students are selected to be spotlighted. The “Spotlight” program recognizes students who demonstrate any of the following qualities: high academic performance, leadership ability, service to the community, and/or other admirable traits.
Record Setting Lady Rams Basketball
After going 13-15 one season ago, the team improved to 18-8, including a 10-6 mark against Colonial Conference opponents, setting a school record for wins in a season.
Senior Taylor Vanore again led the team in scoring at 12.5 points per game, and she served as a leader on a team that utilized its balance and was named Colonial Conference First Team. Senior Shainazia Peterson finished with 8.1 points, 9.2 rebounds per game and earned 2nd Team Colonial Conference. Coming off the bench were Seniors Govanna Parker and Maria Stanton to provide support. While JaKhira Legoskey scored 6.5 points 3.4 rebounds and 2.1 steals per game, Imani Peterson scored 6.3 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.1 steals per game, Alyssa Cavallaro had 5.8 points, 2.3 assist per game and Raquel Harris-Scott scored 5.6 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.2 steals per game. All played significant roles in the offense.
Head Coach Jim Puderbach was voted Colonial Conference Coach of the Year.
