We Are Bringing Back - AG Chess Club!
Classes will begin April 6th and run through May 25th: 8 total classes! The Archer Glen Chess Club will be held in Room #5 starting promptly at 7:00 am and dismissing by 7:45 am on Thursdays. Students will need to arrive on time. Meet at the front entrance of the school at 7:00 am on April 6th. Mrs. Page along with a few parent volunteers will be running this program.
Deadline for registration is Thursday, March 23rd. Please click REGISTRATION to sign up your child. If you have questions please contact Sandi Emmert at slemmert@sherwood.k12.or.us.

School Supply Ordering for 2023-24 - Coming Soon!
Save time and money on back-to-school shopping with EPI School Supplies. Each supply box is specifically packed to match the Archer Glen Supply List for the 2023-24 individual grade levels. Supply boxes will be delivered to the school in August and will be on your student's desk for Supply Night. More information to come!

Kinder Registration for Next Year
Registration for our incoming Kindergarten class is available online using the link below. Incoming Kindergarten students must turn 5 prior to September 1. Registering early helps the school and district start planning for the fall.
Online Kindergarten Registration
During online registration, new families will create a Sherwood ParentVUE account. Parents of current and former Sherwood students will log in with their existing ParentVUE account. Please call the Archer Glen front office at 503-825-5100 or email Sandi Emmert at slemmert@sherwood.k12.or.us if you have any questions.
Paper Registration
Families are also welcome to register using paper registration. Paper registration packets can be picked up from the Archer Glen front office.
Welcome New Kindergarten Families Newsletter
The Welcome New Kindergarten Families newsletter is a special edition newsletter for any families with an incoming Kindergarten student that will be joining us next year. This newsletter provides the information and links needed to successfully register, make plans, and start getting involved with the school. Please feel free to share the Kinder newsletter with any families with a Kindergarten age child who may not have heard about Kindergarten registration.
Square 1 Art
Your child has created art for our school's Square 1 Art Fundraiser! You may purchase your child's art on quality, custom keepsakes. Every order raises funds for our school. Your child's custom catalog for the Square 1 Art fundraiser has been sent home with a sample of ordering options. To find your child's art online you can use the QR code on the catalog or by using Art Search, and enter state, school name, and your student's name. Your student's art and code will appear, and you may order!

Pre-Kindergarten Registration for 2023-24
Pre-Kindergarten applications are open at Hawks View, Middleton, and Ridges! Our programs provide high quality early learning opportunities for typically developing children and children with developmental delays and disabilities.

Call for Volunteers for the Archer Glen Carnival
If you are interested in volunteering for the Archer Glen Carnival, please contact Maria Sampson, Kelly Dehart or Lyndsey Brewer at the email addresses listed below. One of them will give you more information about this fun event and different ways that can you help make it happen. The next AG Carnival meeting will take place on Tuesday, April 4th at 2:15 pm at Archer Glen.

Questions about volunteering with PAC can be directed to our volunteer coordinator, Lyndsey Brewer, at volunteer@archerglenpac.org.
Volunteering
All Volunteers will need to a) complete a background check and b) submit a proof of vaccination or receive approval for a vaccination exception.
- Background checks are completed online: Background Check Forms. Background checks may take up to 10 days to process.
- Proof of vaccinations are submitted to the Archer Glen front office in-person or via email (jmorales@sherwood.k12.or.us). Vaccination exception forms, if needed, can be found here: Medical Exception Request or Religious Exception Request. Completed exception forms are emailed to Steve Emmert at semmert@sherwood.k12.or.us. Exceptions may take up to 14 days to process.
Classroom Volunteers are coordinated directly through the classroom teacher. Classroom volunteers will need to a) complete a background check and b) submit a proof of vaccination or receive approval for a vaccination exception. Reach out to your child's teacher to learn about volunteering in the classroom.
School Wide Volunteers, such as for school wide special events and programs, are coordinated through the HelpCounter app. To use the HelpCounter app, please follow these steps:
- Step 1 Submit your a) background check and b) proof of vaccination or exception.
- Step 2 Contact Lyndsey Brewer at volunteer@archerglenpac.org to make sure that your background check and vaccination information has been cleared. This generally takes two weeks to clear.
- Step 3 Download the HelpCounter App onto your phone
- Step 4 Create an account using the same email that you shared with the PAC coordinator
- Step 5 Set your volunteer preferences and sign up for volunteer opportunities at Archer Glen

NAMI Community Presentation
The SHARE Center is happy to partner with NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) to host a morning of mental health education, support, and resources for parents of school-age youth.
Join us at the District Office on April 22nd at 9am-1pm for a day of learning and community with NAMI. NAMI has presented in neighboring school districts and is a non-profit organization that works to educate the community on Mental Health awareness.
