For Parents of Current 6th Graders - (7th graders for 2024-2025 school year)
One of the requirements for all 7th graders to attend school is to have the Tdap immunization. Please take your child to your physician or local Health Department for the necessary immunizations as soon as possible. Please return the required certificate of immunization (DOH680 form) to the school so we can document it in our records.
You can provide this documentation a couple different ways:
1) Bring a copy of the immunization record to the school for us to verify and note in our system.
2) Scan the document and send an email to Michelle Gardner, school nurse, at migardne@pasco.k12.fl.us.
Please note that students who have not provided documentation of this required immunization will not receive their class schedule during registration in August. If the required document is not received by the first day of school, your child will be excluded from school until proof of the vaccine is provided.
Congratulations, Coach Hackworth!
Continuous Improvement Information
As a continuation of our school's discussions about our academic programs, our teachers have agreed to commit to having a minimum number of graded activities in MyStudent for the Core Learning and Supplemental Learning categories. Teachers will ensure that there are four or more activities for each category to give students opportunities to demonstrate mastery of course curriculum. Core learning accounts for 70% of a course grade, while Supplemental learning accounts for 30% of the overall grade.
Updates for Prize Redemption & Donations Requested
⚠️ Students who place orders by 2 PM on Thursday can now report to the school store to pick up their rewards on Friday morning. We will no longer deliver them during the lunch periods.
Our Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS) program is off to a strong start--but we're completely OUT of the three most popular items that students request with their points!
You can check out the entire wishlist, and have items shipped directly to our PBIS Committee. We appreciate your support of our students and their good work!
Dual Enrollment Registration Information
Eligible high school students may choose to take dual enrollment courses during the 2024-2025 school year. We will offer the required Postsecondary Education Readiness Test (PERT) this spring to assist students with the registration process for PHSC or USF. Angeline Academy of Innovation will appear as a school choice within the PHSC system after March 4, for students to begin requesting fall courses.
More information about dual enrollment options is available here: https://www.pasco.k12.fl.us/oll/page/dual-enrollment
Partners Wanted
Do you have a business that would welcome student volunteers, job shadowing, or interns? We're ready to begin planning for community experiences for our students in the 2024-2025 school year, and looking to curate a list of businesses and organizations that would be willing to let students complete volunteer hours for Bright Futures, honor society membership and more.

6 Times of Day Your Family Needs You to Step Up
The sun wouldn’t come up for a few more hours as we made our way down to the kitchen. Even though it was a frigid January morning on the prairies, the wood-burning stove radiated a welcomed heat, and a fresh pot of coffee waited for us. As we settled in for breakfast, the front door opened, and my friend’s father, John, came back into the house. He shook the fresh snow off his winter parka. I’d spent the last week of Christmas break at a friend’s family farm, but later that day, we’d have to make the three-hour drive back to school for the winter semester. Despite the early hour and the cold, John had been up early taking care of his kids (and their guest) before we had to hit the road. Whether it’s first thing in the morning, mid-afternoon, or the middle of the night, the responsibilities of a father in a family can ask a lot of you. No matter what time of day it was, John was hard at work doing things for his family. I often think of him when faced with the important (and hard) things every dad has to do. Here are 6 times each day your family needs you to step up.
Huddle up with your kids and ask, "What’s your favorite part of the day? Why?”
