The Hurricane Watch, April/May 2022
Six weeks of school remain with three weeks of instruction prior to our yearly administration of the Georgia Milestones assessment. Please encourage your student to stay focused and be present each day!
We would like to say congratulations to our spring athletic teams! Soccer and Tennis have concluded strong seasons with girl's tennis being crowned region champions and boys' tennis region runner up. The CMS track teams are performing well and will conclude their season later this month.
The 8th grade dance will be held on Friday, May 6th. This year our PTC and student council have selected the theme "Denim and Diamonds". This event is for current Cartersville Middle School 8th grade students only! The dress code for this event follows closely to the school dress code. Tickets will be sold starting next week during lunch for $15 dollars each.
Go Canes!
Mr. Gibson
8th Grade Dance
8th Graders have chosen "Denim and Diamonds" as the theme for this year’s 8th Grade dance sponsored by the Carterville Middle School PTC on May 6th .
The Denim and Diamonds theme allows for students to mix the best of two worlds, but whichever they choose, please remember:
- Shirts/tops must cover the midriff and chest and have 2 shoulder straps
- The length of skirts and shorts should not limit movements such as bending and sitting
- No visible body piercings
- Shoes must be worn
Any questions regarding attire prior to the dance should be directed to homeroom teachers.
- No cell phones visible during the dance!
Students may purchase tickets during lunch on April 22nd or April 29th for $15.
