Fall Conference, a Sleep Disorder, Perfection, and the Force
Fall Conference was a blast
It rained nonstop. It was parents' weekend back at W&M, so our numbers were lower than normal. A recipe for a lack luster weekend. But it was probably our best yet. No one complained about the weather. We played games, passed the guitar around, and reflected on a fantastic sermon series by James Forsyth on prayer.
W&M professor Scott Ickes spoke, will be on the podcast soon!
ONE BIG PRAYER REQUEST: SLEEP!
On the personal side, the family is doing very well in the new house and new school. But ONE BIG REQUEST. Last week I was diagnosed with SLEEP APNEA. One side effect is memory loss and "foggy brain" on top of the obvious fatigue. Lately my sleep has been pretty bad. I've been in process with a neurologist/sleep specialist since this summer, but it all takes time. I've got a follow up study on the 21st of this month and should get a machine 2-3 weeks after that. It's nice to see a light at the end of this sleepy tunnel I've been living in, but it still feels far away. Pray for rest and that I'll stay functional and use my tools well to help me remember things!
Thanks for all your support!
