Fitness Components Poster
By Kameron Blount
Muscular Strength
A man is demonstrating muscular strength by performing the "push press". The force that he gave into this type of lift is produced by one contraction of a muscle.
Cardivascular Endurance
The picture supports this fitness component because to perform the task of swimming, you will need oxygen to flow through your muscles. The heart and blood vessels perform this action.
Muscular Endurance
The man is demonstrating muscular endurance in the picture by doing push-ups. Push-ups increase your muscle endurance because it helps your muscles move over a length of time
Speed
Usain Bolt demonstrates speed by running very fast (quickly) from one point to another in a straight line. He is arguably the fastest man ever because of his records in the 100 and 200 meter dashes.
Agility
Braxton Miller, football athlete at THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY demonstrates agility by changing the direction of his body when he runs the ball. He jukes a lot of defenders because he is very good at it. He performs the definition of agility every time he steps on the football field.
Flexibilty
This lady is demonstrating flexibility by doing the split. Her joints in her ody are causing her to do this split because they have a range of movement.
Power
A man is demonstrating power by doing bench press (strength work) at an explosive pace. He's doing cross fit training and in cross fit, you have to demonstrate power
Coordination
The man is demonstrating coordination because he's juggling balls. He is using hand movements with the input of his senses.
Body Composition
The picture is demonstrating body composition because it is showing the comparison between lean body mass and body fat. It is not showing the comparison with a percentage though.
Balance
The man is demonstrating balance because he is holding an upright position while still moving on the rope. He is moving by walking on the rope and keeping his balance.
Reaction time
The runners are demonstrating reaction time by reacting to the gun as fast as they can so they can get a faster start. Their whole body moves when they hear the gun because it is a input of their senses.
