Admin Corner

1. How would you describe the role of assistant principal?

"The assistant principal is just that, I assist the principal in day-to-day functions of our school. Primary roles I fulfill daily include absenteeism, maintenance issues that need addressed, discipline issues, parking, Athletic Director duties and hundreds of possible scenarios that pop up daily. I also assist our teachers with anything that arises in their classroom or address needs they may have."

2. What is the best way to motivate students to come to school and participate in activities?

"To continue a culture and atmosphere where students can learn and have fun. We have great teachers and a variety of extra curricular activities that students can join, which allow them to enjoy a great high school experience. The more you are involved in, the more ownership you will take in your school."

3. What is your philosophy on discipline?

"My philosophy on discipline, teaching, and coaching is the same: I treat everyone like they are my kids. I see something that needs addressed, and I address it. I don't make discipline issues personal, and I follow the guidelines given by the County Office. We have good students here, but sometimes students just make bad choices that need correcting. They serve out whatever is handed down, and we move forward and hopefully, they don't make the same mistake twice."

Guess Who?

"When I was a senior in high school, I traveled to Austria and Hungary with the UCA All-Star program and performed in their New Year's Day Parade."
