Principal's Message
I hope you we were able to enjoy another safe three day weekend!
Here are some announcements for the week:
1. Achievement Reports / Report Cards - As of this Friday, February 12, parents can access their child's achievement reports / report cards through ParentVue. If you need assistance accessing your account or report, feel free to call he main office.
2. Middle School Minimum Days, Wed/Thurs- In order to provide teacher planning time for distance learning, our district has declared Wednesdays and Thursdays as Minimum Days for middle school students until further notice.

3. Black History Month- Our district has provided lessons and resources for teachers and students to use to celebrate Black History Month, beginning Feb. 1. 4. CORE SURVEY - It's that time off the year where you get a chance to tell us how we are doing as a school. I look forward to your honest feedback so that we can reflect at Robinson and ensure we are meeting the needs of our school community. The survey window is from 2/9 - 3/19. Be on the lookout for an email from Panorama Education.

SCHOOL SITE COUNCIL: SSC 2/9 OUTCOMES
On Tuesday, 2/9 SSC met and reviewed the recommended expenditures for the 2021-2022 school year.
The following items discussed and approved.
- 50% of Assistant Principal
- 100% for 2 TOSA positions
- 20% for Nurse Time
- 60% of Health Tech Aide
We will submit our recommendations to the Assistant Superintendent of MSK8 schools for final approval.
Other non-personnel items will be discussed and voted on at our future SSC meeting.

It's Time to Celebrate!
Black History Month School-Wide Bingo
In recognition of Black History, we will be learning about the contributions of our African American fellows by hosting a School-Wide Bingo game! Please join in on the fun by researching the Hints that are announced daily via the Canvas Broadcast system and mark the name of the person on your Bingo card. Bingo winners may submit their name to their Elementary or Middle School PE Teacher. Once your name is submitted, you may visit the school during lunch to pick up your special prize. I Hope you enjoy learning about African American contributions to our great nation!
So far, we have learned about the following contributors:
Week 1: Bessie Colman, Malcolm X, Tiger Woods, Harriet Tubman, and Mae Jemison.

Please pledge to support our attendance efforts by:
*Establishing a routine for bedtime and for the morning for your child
*Checking on your child’s attendance regularly (ParentVue)
*Encouraging your child to log in to CANVAS account, participate and engage unless he/she is truly sick
*Calling the school and provide notes when your child is absent
*Communicate with your teacher or Office to report any technology problems.

Hello Dolphin Parents!
It’s Ms. Denise and I want to let you know that I’m back! Back for FUN and ADVENTURES from the WRAP program to help make Virtual Programming for our JROB students something for them to look forward to!
I’ve compiled a list of activities that I’m sure will have them asking for more! For example, courtesy of the California Science Museum, I will be playing the role of “The Gross Scientist! The kids will be learning things like Sticky Snot, Let It Rip (Why do farts make sounds?), Spill Your Guts (Why vomiting is important!), and Germ Busters. For these and other hands-on activities, WE will provide the kids with the supplies needed for the activity.
We will recognize some Fun Facts of the day (Chinese New Year, Random Act of Kindness Day, Make a Friend Day, and more!) For Friday’s Fun Day, we’ll do some singing and dancing to end the week on a good note!
There will also be Yoga and Stretching classes, along with instructions on how to make a healthy snack, and The Boys & Girls Club will be providing the necessary supplies/ingredients!
This program is open to all JROB students from 2:30-4:30 and is sure to fill up fast, so be sure to fill out the application by going to this link:
