Pre-Administration Day for AP Exams
On Wednesday, April 25th, all students who have already registered for one or more AP Exams in May must attend a Pre-Administration Session which will take place during an extended Advisory. During this session, students will fill in demographic and other information that is required for all AP exams. Filling in this information in advance saves students up to 45 minutes of additional ‘seat time’ on the day of the exam, reduces anxiety, and makes for a smoother test administration. All students taking AP exams are required to attend this session.

GOOD NEWS ABOUT CB WEST STUDENTS
WORLD LANGUAGE HONORS SOCIETIES INDUCTION
On Thursday, March 15, 2018 the National French, Spanish, Chinese, and Latin Honor Societies inducted 58 new members. In order to be inducted into these honor societies, students must earn exemplary grades in their respective language classes and demonstrate a dedication to the language and culture. Student artists provided music as inductees came to the stage and Mrs. Helen Zaleski welcomed parents and students with opening remarks. These opening remarks were followed by a speech about the advantages of knowing multiple languages in the professional world given by Major Adnan Benmosbah. The next speech was given by CB West Senior Jordan Bell, who discussed the personal growth that comes with the creation of a multilingual identity. After the speeches, students from each honor society treated the audience to culturally authentic performances including dances, songs, and poems. Teachers and students spoke together in each traditional ceremony to officially induct the new members. Finally, Mrs. Zaleski gave closing remarks and invited students and parents to enjoy refreshments, while the Chinese Honor Society sent lanterns into the night.
