Fit with Family

Help us populate our Fit with Family bulletin board! This bulletin board was created to highlight students and their families exercising together. Parents and students can participate by following these steps:

  1. Exercise with your family.
  2. Snap a picture.
  3. Send a hard or digital copy to Mrs. Lukens or Mr. Gort to be posted on the wall outside the gyms.

Pictures can be emailed to Jeanne.Lukens@moundsviewschools.org or Ben.Gort@moundsviewschools.org.

Our goal is to get as many students and families as possible being active outside of physical education. Let's fill that wall!

Box Tops for Education

School is back in full swing and so is our Box Tops for Education collections (BTFE). A couple of announcements regarding their program:

  1. This year there are two ways to collect Box Tops for our school! BTFE has introduced a digital scanning program that will help streamline collecting for you. Just down load the App, scan your receipt and it'll automatically find participating products and deposit the funds directly into our school's account.
  2. There are still a ton of products on the shelves with BTFE that we need to clip and submit. BTFE is committed to honoring all remaining clippable box tops until they have expired. This will probably be a couple years. Keep clipping and have your student drop them in their classroom's BTFE bucket.
  3. Because we are unable to track individual student contributions for BTFE submitted electronically we NO LONGER NEED TO WRITE YOUR STUDENT'S NAME ON THE BACK of any clipped Box Tops! This way we can have a school-wide collection goal and celebrate with all the students when we meet that goal.

Recycle Your Colored Markers

Turtle Lake participates in the Crayola ColorCycle recycling program. Bring your colored markers, dry erase markers, or highlighters of any brand or type down to the office and toss them in the box for recycling!
