Greetings and Updates from MMS Principal Dara Gronau
Thank you Ms. McCourt and Ms. Reisman-Our fabulous art teachers did a wonderful job with the central office display. If you are visiting the Board of Education offices, be sure to check out student work highlighting our goals for academic and social/emotional success for our middle schoolers. Scroll down for pictures!
Great job MMS teachers!-MMS received 18 Achieve grants this year. 3 teachers received 2 grants! We are grateful to our faculty and staff for dreaming big and thinking of ways to enrich our students' experience at MMS.
Choose Kind--Battle of the Classes-Please read the Battle of the classes information. In addition to the fun theme days for spirit week, there are service opportunities. We thank the student council for leading this effort. Let's have great participation. Choose kind!
Have a wonderful week!
Warm Regards,
Ms. Gronau
Welcome back Ms. Cifuentes!
We welcome back Katie Cifuentes from maternity leave today. Ms. Cifuentes begins her third year at Maplewood Middle School, and brings a calm energy and devotion to supporting all students to reach academic success. Her email is kcifuent@somsd.k12.nj.us
At the same time, we are saddened to say goodbye to Mr. Antonio Rodriguez who has worked with your children for the last three months. Mr. Rodriguez has impressed us with his concern and devotion to our students during Ms. Cifuentes’ absence and we thank him for his work at MMS.

Maplewood Middle School Remind App Code @k92d29
This year, the MMS Principal has added a school-wide "Remind App" as another way to communicate with families. Many of your child's teachers will share Remind class codes for you and your child to stay up to date about class events and assignments. As needed, the MMS Principal will periodically use the Remind App to share important info with our school community. Our Maplewood Middle School school-wide code Remind code is listed above (@k92d29). The link below explains how to begin getting notifications. It's a simple way to stay in touch. Join us!
