The 2023 CCA Board Election will begin on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 and will end on Tuesday, May 16, 2023.

There are three open positions on the Board for the 2023 Election. The term for each Board position is three years.

We have streamlined our submittal process and we are utilizing the Google Forms platform.

This form is due by April 11, 2023 at 3:00 pm.

In order to better understand the roles and responsibilities of Board candidates please review the Candidate Eligibility Requirements listed below:

• Potential candidates must attend a minimum of two (2) regular CCA Board meetings during the nine (9) months prior to the April Board meeting. The March Board meeting is an eligible meeting for this requirement.

• Potential candidates must interview with at least one (1) current Board member prior to the nomination form submittal deadline.

• Potential candidates must agree to complete all required “Board modules” if elected. They must also agree to abide by the Code of Conduct, Duty of Care and Loyalty and Conflict of Interests policies.

• Potential candidates must agree to abide by the CCA “Non-Negotiables.”

• CCA staff members and spouses of CCA staff members are not allowed to run for the CCA Board.

• Only one parent or legal guardian per family may serve on the CCA Board at the same time.

• In order to be eligible to run for the CCA Board, candidates must have at least one student who is returning to CCA for the upcoming school year.

• In order to be eligible to run for the CCA Board, candidates must have completed and have documented (under their own unique volunteer account through the current CCA volunteer hours’ database) at least 50% of their annual volunteer hours (20 of 40 hours per family, or 10 of 20 hours per single parent) by the time of nomination.

The Election will be held by an electronic ballot. A unique and confidential electronic ballot will be sent to the email address listed in PowerSchool for each parent/guardian.

One of our Kindergartners, Viaan won 3rd place in PALS C2E Chess Tournament K-1 division held on 4/8/2023. He also won an award for the top Kindergartener in his division (K-1). Congratulations Viaan! We are very proud of you!

NJHS would like to say thank you for a successful food drive! Mr. Leins had to make two trips he had so much food to donate. Our community is amazing!

Back by popular demand! Earn volunteer hours by providing snacks to the CCA staff every Monday. Store bought items equal one volunteer hour, and homemade items count as 2 volunteer hours. Sign up one week before you will bring snacks. We love taking care of our teachers and staff!

If you work in the field of a student's topic, or have knowledge of it, would you consider corresponding with a student about it via email? Parents, each year we put together a slideshow video of our 8th graders and show it at graduation. We are asking that you please fill out this form in order to submit a baby/young child photo of your 8th grader and a current photo of them to be shared at graduation. *Cherry Creek High School Soccer Coaches are conducting a preseason soccer camp the week before tryouts, July31-August 4th, 4-6 pm at the Greenwood Village Park Fields. This camp is open to incoming 9th-12 graders and includes conditioning, teaching individual drills, and fundamentals. This camp is optional but Highly Encouraged. There is a fee to participate. Dear Cherry Creek Schools Families,

This letter contains important information about the Universal Preschool (UPK) program within the Cherry Creek School District. UPK is free preschool for all students the year before kindergarten, they must turn 4 years old on or before October 1st.

CCSD is pleased to announce the state's Universal Preschool (UPK) registration is now available for Cherry Creek School District students. CCSD will offer free part-time (10 hours) preschool to 4-year-olds at our elementary schools in the district starting in the 2023-24 school year.

Preschool Enrichment will also be offered next year at sites across the district. This fee-based childcare program provides a quality experience for the other half of the preschool day. Space is limited.

**Focus Tutoring’s Summer Math Camps!** presented by Mrs. Priya and Mr. Loomis

This year, we plan to have two tutoring sessions.The tutoring sessions will be geared towards preparing students for the next academic year by reviewing pertinent materials and introducing important concepts.

The first session will be from July 10th - July 13th, 2023.
