Northwood News Nov. 7-11

Be Smart. Be Kind. Be United. Be a Unicorn.

Thank you for Choosing Northwood!

Dear Northwood Community,

This is a very special week. Tomorrow, Tuesday, November 8th, is election day. The NEISD school board voted to make it a school holiday since so many schools, including, Northwood are polling locations and the general public is in and out of the building throughout out the day. So we are here today, have the day off on Tuesday and come back to finish up the week on Wednesday through Friday this week.

Friday, November 11th is Veterans' Day. We are having a special assembly to honor any Veterans that are connected to Northwood at 8:30 am. We hope that you will join us. Please complete THIS form to let us know that you are coming so we can recognize you and your student and so that we can pre-print your visitors badge.

We had a great time last Thursday Night for our Family Math Game and Greenback Night. We raised over $3500 and plan to have a mural painted on the side of the old gym facing Rockhill. A big thank you Lauren Ahrens and her committee for planning the event and making it happen! We also want to thank Ms. Lussier, 5th grade teacher, for organizing all the fun family math games. The event was a huge success!

Please be sure to read all the way to the end of the newsletter to find out about everything that is going on at Northwood and for important reminders.

Have a great week and thank you for your support!

Mrs. Harper
