To Fidget or Not to Fidget?
If you've been on campus lately, you've likely seen an array of fidget tools amongst the students. From stress balls to simpl dimpls, our kiddos are enjoying the variety of fidget tools out there.
Fidget tools, sometimes referred to as sensory tools or fidget toys, are designed to help with self-regulation. Fidgets come in a variety of formats and have been shown to help students focus, relax, and maintain attention to instruction.Sometimes, though, fidget tools can be confused with being fidget toys. If your student benefits from fidget tools, we encourage you to have conversations with them about the difference between a tool and a toy.
Take a look at the infographic below for conversation support.
