Where It Started.
Sometime between 2000 and 1500 BC new people appeared in Southwest Asia. These people were the Hebrews. They created a religion that is now known as Judaism.
Who Started It?
The Bible traces the Hebrews back to Abraham. God told Abraham to leave his home in Mesopotamia. Abraham and his family settled in Canaan. His descendants, the Hebrews, lived in Canaan for many years.
What Were The Beliefs?
Judaism's basic beliefs were that there was only believed in one god. They also believe in the 10 Commandments. Lastly they believe In the value of human life and self control.
Where Did It Spread?
Judaism spread through Canaan and Egypt. This was because the Hebrews moved to these locations. The Hebrews started spreading through Egypt and the Egyptians were getting worried, so they made them slaves.
