Next, students identified what they are "experts" in
Then students read to TK students and shared their expertise

Our SEL PD Cycle is Over, But Help is Still available!
From Kathy Bennett (Our Trauma Informed practice trainer)- an email offering you help with your classroom if needed!
Trauma Informed Teacher/Staff Coaching:
- Observation of classroom to gauge needs for trauma informed coaching.
- Self-assessment of trauma informed skills and areas for improvement.
- Coaching provided such as de-escalation, setting up and using peace corners, relationship building, using tools like grounding and regulation for whole class.
- In-class presentation to model yoga, mindfulness, emotional regulation where teachers can observe then implement.
- Self-Care conversation and coaching for teachers.
Good teachers candidates should be open to being observed in a very compassionate and non-judgmental way and offered support and tools that will benefit all students. (And teachers too!)
I should be ready to book classrooms by early November. Feel free to let your teachers know, and forward to all appropriate support staff. I look forward to providing additional supports!
Have a great weekend!
Kathy Bennett
Social Committee
It's that time of year again when the Glenview Social Committee is collecting money to support the various social events and needs that arise for Glenview staff!
We are asking for $40 from Certificated Staff and $20 for Classified Staff.
We are asking for your contribution by Tuesday, November 1. Please turn in all funds to Ms. Sullivan.
Thank you!
Ms. Morgan
BODIES (OPERATIONS & LOGISTICS)
IMPORTANT- All teachers are required to have Emergency Sub Plans
2) All sub plans should include info. on emergencies- where is the yellow box in your room? Where is the emergency folder with student info?
3) You should have an emergency sub. plans folder in your room that lists your weekly schedule and has some activities and information.
Having a substitute impacts your students and your colleagues...emergencies happen, please make sure you have emergency sub plans in place so your colleagues don't have to jump in and create them and your students aren't left without work to do!
Have a concern? Want to raise an issue?
Questions?
Ask your FC reps- Mr. Wolfe, Ms. Michelle, Mr. Granda,
