EGE Update

September 2023

Greetings from Mrs. Faulks

We hope your week is off to a great start! Things seem to be moving quickly already!

Thank you to all the Grandparents and other family members that were able to come have lunch with us last week! We had a GREAT turnout! We appreciate your patience and understanding as we did our best to accommodate for all of our guests!

Safety First - Morning Drop Off vs. Afternoon Pick Up

We appreciate all of your help in keeping our students safe each day, particularly as you drop your children off in the morning and pick them up in the afternoon. The parking lot is always of particular concern to me as there are so many things that cause a safety concern.

While they are very similar, there is a major difference between the morning drop off and the afternoon pick up. In the morning we ask that you remain in the right lane only as you move towards the drop off spots in the front of the building. The ONLY traffic that should be in the left lane are staff coming in to park or parents who plan on checking into the building.

In the afternoon, we ask that you use both lanes so that we aren't leaving anyone sitting out on 1626. The lanes merge as you get closer to the pick up. There are staff members out there to help with that process.

Please be patient with each other and with us when coming and going during either of these busy times!

Habit Hunt - Tomorrow - September 12 6:00pm - 7:00pm

We hope you are all able to join us for our annual Habit Hunt tomorrow night. This is a great time to learn the habits, see the school and have some fun with your family and friends! Each grade level will be hosting a habit and directing activities to illustrate those habits. When your child has visited all of the stations and has gotten all of the card punched, it can be traded in for a free Kona Ice! It is always a great time!

As always, thank you for your continued support of Elm Grove Elementary!
