Message from Mr. McDermott

Good afternoon Wildcats,

Welcome to Semester 2, I hope you all had time to rest and recharge over the holidays. Parents, report cards for Quarter 2 and Semester 1 will be available in myStudent on Tuesday 1/11/22. Please make sure you check your student's progress and GPA. If your student needs assistance, please reach out to their teachers, counselors and administrators so we can discuss available supports.

Mr. McDermott

Please help us

Please help us with parent drop off in the mornings. Please pull as far forward as possible before stopping. Dropping off by the main office slows the line down and pushes traffic onto Wells Road. Also, please turn right out of the drop off line as this helps expedite the line. Thank you for your cooperation and patience.

PERT Testing for Dual Enrollment for the 22-23 Fall Semester

If your student is interested in taking Dual Enrollment courses next fall, we will be offering the PERT on-campus on Thursday, January 27. Please have your student see their counselor to sign up.

GPA Explained

Each course a student takes is included in their GPA calculation. High school graduation requires a 2.0 unweighted gpa.

Grade-Quality Points

A -4

B -3

C -2

D -1

F -0

Each student takes six courses per semester. To calculate gpa, you divide quality points/6.

For college admission and scholarships, weighted gpa is sometimes used. Honors courses carry an extra .5 weighting and AP/DE courses carry an extra 1.0 weighting.
