PTA Auction Library Movie Night Event
Winning students of the PTA Auction event - 'Movie Night in the Library', came to school on the evening of January 17 and we partied till 9pm!
A great time was had by all. We did some arts and crafts, ate pizza in the staffroom - shhh don't tell the teachers! We did a treasure hunt in the Library, made ice cream sundaes in the kitchen and played games, like hide-and-seek and pass-the-parcel late at night in the dark library! We even had time to watch a few minutes of a movie. Photos below.
Thank you to all the parents who bid on this event at the November school fair - the money raised will go towards the playground redevelopment.

Chess Club every Wednesday lunchtime in the Library
Students from Year 2 to Year 6 are invited to come to the library every Wednesday lunchtime (1:05-1:30) to play friendly games of chess with other students.
Nicholas Mathyssek (Y5) and Brian Lee (Y6) came up with the idea for this club and we think it's wonderful!
We have lots of keen chess players at Glenealy, so if your child would like to come and play some friendly matches, please remind them every Wednesday.
