General News! Week of April 18th - 21st
Monday Greetings!
The end is in sight, and the next two weeks are the last major hurdles we all must get through successfully to reach our goal. Please help us be sure that your child will be able to put their best foot forward by getting a good night's rest, eating a healthy breakfast, and being at school on time.
Project Lift-Off's First Launch was a HUGE Success!
With the help of MANY volunteers from Lockheed-Martin and some of their Kings Bay counterparts, over 80 model rockets were launched on Tuesday. We all had a "BLAST"! After testing ends, we will be making modifications and launching again on May 2nd. We owe a great BIG thank you to Lockheed-Martin and friends. Our students had REAL rocket scientists, engineers, technicians, and builders to work with them. THANK YOU!
If you still have picture packets at home, please return them ASAP. WE are also missing some schedules for the high school, and report card envelopes. We appreciate your help in getting these items turned in.
Hopefully you have been making some use of these links preparing for the End of Grade assessments. I will leave them here for this week and next week if you would like some last minute support.

"SPOTLIGHT on Paired Passages"...Booklets will be collected this week for grading.
Math- Mrs. McKinney
Math- This week we will have short classes due to testing but we will continue to focus on standards that the students need to practice. If possible, encourage your student to practice on IXL at home, look through this notebook, and look at their textbooks to refresh themselves on the material we have covered this year.
Science- Mrs. Allen
This week in Science, we are getting in review for our End of Grade tests! Students should be working in Mobymax at school and at home, especially if they are trying to improve their class grade by the end of the year. They have been given grade replacement opportunities from that resource, should they choose to complete the assigned lessons. The EOG for science is next week on Wednesday, April 26th. Students have been emailed the kahoot links again to be able to study and prepare for this exam at home alongside our school practice and review. Please support me at home by making sure the students go through these nightly. We are almost to the end of the year, so let’s finish up strong! J
