5th Grade Farewell
Attention 5th Grade Parents:
It is hard to believe that in 6 short weeks, our 5th graders will be finishing up elementary school and embarking on middle school in the fall!
This year we are going to put on a wonderful 5th-grade farewell day of events on the last day of school. More information will be shared over the upcoming weeks with details on how parents can get involved on the day of.
The day will consist of awards and talent show in the morning, games, music and food outside in the early afternoon, and will finish up with the graduate walk. In order for us to make this happen, our generous PTO has donated dollars towards the food and gifts for each 5th grader, but we still need financial help for the outside activities. We are asking parents to help donate so that we can bring in some really fun and unique activities for the kids to do outside. Please donate money to McKenzie Eaton at @McKenzie-Eaton-1 Venmo account. Put your student’s name and 5th-grade farewell in the comments section. We are hoping to get $2,500 or more. The more we get the more we can bring into the day’s events to make this memorable for our kids.
If you would like your child’s photos to appear in the 5th-grade slideshow that will run during the awards show, please send a kindergarten photo (or around this age) and a 5th grade/current photo to Molly Applegate @ mollyapplegate@hotmail.com by Fri May 6. Please use “5th-grade slideshow” for the Subject line and include your child’s first and last name on the photo file or in the email. Also, feel free to send any group shots from school that you may have taken through the years; if there is space, some of those may be added as well.
If you do not receive a confirmation email response within 48 hours, that means your photos were not received. Please resend or follow up with Molly to confirm receipt.
