A Note from the Principal
Lion Nation,
For my whole life, Thanksgiving meant that my whole family visited my grandparents house in Ada, OK. At times their were 35-40 family members who shared in the Thanksgiving feast. I cherish the time we all had together. For the first time, Kelly and I will be hosting the Thanksgiving feast in McKinney, Texas. We are a little nervous about building new traditions for my family. What memories will we be implanting in our kids memories? Here is what I know, the food will be good and if the Cowboys show up, football will be good.
My wish for our whole Lion Nation is that we can all reflect on what is important in our lives and be thankful for what is important. I am truly thankful for all who make our MHS community so special and “Original”.
Have a Blessed Thanksgiving,
Alan Arbabi

Mactown Miracles
From the family gatherings to the decorations, the holidays are a source of pure happiness for everyone. A big part of that happiness lies in the huge holiday dinner. However, many families in the Dallas Ft. Worth Area, including McKinney, cannot afford to join the culinary excitement. That’s why all three McKinney high schools are coming together to collect items to provide dinners for families in need. Join this heartwarming cause & assist us in collecting food items for over 650 families so they can be a part of the holiday spirit this season! The flyer above will provide details of items needed and drop off information.
Blood Drive
We are having a blood drive with Carter the Monday after Thanksgiving, and our goal is to have 100 donations. If you would like to give, please let me know what time, or you can drop by beginning at 1:15 and we will save you a spot. Please allot thirty to forty-five minutes for donation.
Special Prom
We are having a prom for our Special Olympics students with the other two high schools and we are looking for prom dresses and suits for the kids. We provide them with hair and makeup and let them borrow formal attire, but we are in desperate need of larger sizes. If you have any to donate, please contact Student Council.
