Halloween Information

Due to Covid 19 restrictions, celebrating Halloween will look much different this year at the elementary buildings. In order to maintain a safe environment for everyone, the following restrictions will be taking place this year:

  • Costumes will not be worn at school and there will not be any type of parade.

  • Visitors will unfortunately not be allowed to be in the building.

  • Snacks cannot be brought to school to be passed out to others. This includes pre-packaged foods. *Students will be receiving a Halloween treat as part of the school lunch on October 30.

Halloween-themed activities, resources, etc. will still be encouraged to celebrate this holiday and we will try to be creative during the school day. We appreciate everyone’s support in keeping our students, staff and community healthy!

Fall Conferences

Please keep an eye out for communication from your child's teacher regarding conferences. Conferences will be Zoom or phone format and will be 15 minutes in length. All students (MVP and F2F) will need to have a conference scheduled.

Conference dates and times:

  • Wed, Oct 21 (4-7 pm)

  • Thur, Oct 22 (4-7 pm)

PowerSchool Parent Access

New this year we are able to have parents verify and update student and contact information through the PowerSchool parent portal. This is replacing the enrollment forms that were typically sent home at the beginning of the year. Please reference the video below to verify your student's information. Thank you!

Daily Joy Videos

Our counselor, Mrs. Prebble, has organized Daily Joy videos that are shared with our in-person and MVP students. These have featured teachers, principals, custodians, secretaries, students, and even a friend of Mrs. Prebble, Miss Mildred.

We love these videos because it help keeps our spirits up, shares a more personal side of the various people in our building, and is a great conversation starter! In the case of Miss Mildred, students were so interested in her story they wrote her letters and brought some more joy to her life!

We hope to share more of these videos and stories as the year goes on.
