Notes from the Principal
I hope everyone has a restful Holiday Break and has a chance to spend time with family and friends to celebrate the season and all that we hold dear. As we say good-bye to 2019, please take a moment to look back on all of the things that have happened in the past year. Reflect on the growth that has occurred in all of us, but particularly in our children.
Looking forward, don’t forget to enjoy the moments that lie ahead and be thankful for the opportunities the upcoming year is going to bring. I can’t wait to see what 2020 will bring to this wonderful, growing, school family and community.
Happy Holidays!!!!

Boone Family,
Winter break is upon us, and I hope however you are spending this time, it is full of family, friends, and joy. It has been a busy fall semester here at school, so I know our students, faculty and staff are ready for a break. During the break, I hope we all get to take time to rest and appreciate the memories made in 2019!
Students have been working so hard this fall first semester of the year so they will be grateful for some downtime the next couple of weeks. I know I will be curling up with a great book or two over the holiday, and I encourage all students to find some time to read while we are away from school. I am really excited to see so many Boone Bears reading in the morning before assembly. I love "Catching" students enjoying a great story! We will have a second treasure chest full of new exciting treats for those students who turn in their bookmarks with 20 stars after the break! These are great incentives, but the best reward is the gift of reading. This is a time during the day students are in full control of what they read, and let's face it, that is when reading truly is pure joy! Please encourage your kiddos to put a great book in their backpacks when we return!
2019 has been a great year for me, and I am so thankful that becoming the Assistant Principal here at Boone Elementary is part of my memories for the year! It is a blessing to be surrounded by a wonderful school community full of outstanding people who make coming to work a joy every day.
I cannot wait to see what 2020 has in store for us! See you then!!
Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!

Hello Boone Bear Families,
As this semester comes to a close, I would like to wish you all a wonderful holiday season and new year. It is my hope that you can share quality time with your family, rest, rejuvenate, and take time for yourself. It has been a treat to see students participate in their special activities and programs throughout the month. Their excitement has been contagious and fun to share. I look forward to seeing our Boone Bears in January 2020!
Sincerely,
Ms. Lozo
