Wiley H. Bates Teacher of the Year
Ms. Caton
Please help me in congratulating Ms. Caton as our Wiley H. Bates Middle School Teacher of the Year! She is also nominated for the AACPS Teacher of the Year!
Here is a small portion of what her peers and students at our school say about our amazing Ms. Caton:
- Caring, friendly and a great role model for students and peers.
- Always has a positive attitude.
- Cares about the whole child.
- Builds great relationships with students.
- Classroom is a safe and welcoming environment for all students.
- Goes above and beyond for her students.
- The positive energy remains constant throughout the year and at the end of the year the students have a newfound confidence and joy for math.
Ms. Caton is not one that likes to be in the spotlight, but her excellence in teaching and her dedication to growing students and teachers should not go unnoticed. We are wishing her the best of luck in her quest for AACPS Teacher of the Year!
Congratulations to the following students for demonstrating THE BATES WAY!

In addition, please do not send kids to school with McDonalds, Wendy's, Chick-Fil-A, or other outside fast food. This can become a distraction for others. Additionally, parents bringing bulk food drop-offs (lunch for your student and some of their friends) will not be accepted.
