Important Reminder - School Expectations
This time of year can be difficult, so we took some time over the last two weeks to review school-wide expectations with all students. Here are some of the things we reviewed:
- no cell phones/ear buds - Phones should be off and away at all times with the exception of before school (outside), after school (outside), and during lunch (cafeteria/outside).
- dress code - Students should adhere to dress code. See handbook for additional information.
- tardies - Students should be on time for all classes. Students will receive a Wednesday detention when they reach 5 tardies.
- absences - Students may not miss more than 17 days of school without a medical (doctor's note) or school excusal (field trip). Students who exceed 17 absences will need to follow the appeals process at the end of the year. You can check your child's attendance on the PowerSchool parent portal.
- hands/feet/objects to self - Students are expected to keep their hands/feet/and objects to themselves. There may be school consequences for students who violate this expectation.
- respect for others - Students and staff should treat others with respect.
You can find more information on our website in the Middle School Handbook. Please talk with your child about school-wide expectations and reach out if you have any questions!
