Weekly Newsletter
Welcome back!
Dear Parents,
We hope you all had a wonderfully relaxed and fun-filled break. Children arrived back with big smiles, filling our classroom with fun and contagious energy. We are so excited to be jumping into this New Year. We have so much planned and so much to accomplish!
This week we have been focusing on re-establishing our routines after the long break.
As soon as we saw how knowledgeable our kids were when it comes to class routines, we wanted to focus on the different feelings that they might be experiencing during this time of the year. Happiness, excitement, joy are some of them but they sometimes feel scared, sad, nervous about the changes they are experiencing. "Little Miss Muffet" and Llama Llama from “Llama Llama misses mama" showed our boys and girls different ways to confront those these feelings.
We welcome you to talk to your child about how they are feeling about coming back to school by using pictures, manipulatives, role play, and help them understand the importance of talking about them.
Have a nice weekend,
PK Team

Books and Rhymes
Holiday Show and Tell
- Language: it encourages children to use descriptive words and complete sentences, expanding their vocabulary. It helps children to communicate feelings, thoughts and emotions with words.
- Social-Emotional: it provides the opportunity to be the center of attention in a safe and loving environment. This positive interaction builds confidence and self esteem.
- Creating Friendships: Each child must be patient and listen, and wait their turn. It also gave us the opportunity to practice asking questions and giving praise to our friends. Some of the children may have similar interests and it will provide a connection between them.
At the bottom of these pictures you will find the whole class presentation in a PDF. We invite you to download it and look at it with your child. Ask them questions about their friends experiences during the break.
