(Below) At last weekend’s SCASB (South Central Association of Schools for the Blind) track and field events at the Alabama School for the Blind, our 16 GAB scholar athletes brought home 12 medals, 13 ribbons and 2- 4th place trophies! Way to go Panthers!!
(Below) At last weekend’s STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math) Short Course Weekend, our scholars designed and built at soapbox derby car and competed against other local schools at Macon’s annual Magnolia Soap Box Derby.
(Below) Lunch in the Library for good behavior this week and last week.
(Below) The Georgia Department of Education declared April 10 as Military Child Day with schools across the state honoring children of military families. We enjoyed an hour outdoors after our state wide testing to pay tribute to the children and our staff who were once children in military homes. Our chorus sang, and we enjoyed patriotic tunes from our drummers, pianist and guitarist. We welcomed the Patriot Guard Riders and three local television stations. You can see the news segments on our Facebook page and website!
