Wrightstown Elementary School
June 11, 2021
Dear WES Families,
Wow! What a year it has been! I think it is safe to say this year posed challenges we never imagined. To look back and realize what our students, teachers, staff, and parents accomplished is nothing short of AMAZING! If ever there was a year to emphasize the importance of the school and home partnership it was this year! I know I speak for the WES Staff when I say we couldn’t be more proud of students’ resilience and demonstration of respect for each other during times of uncertainty. Students should celebrate their successes and accomplishments! I am thrilled that our students were able to put closure to the year by engaging in fun activities with their classmates. Yesterday, many staff enjoyed seeing former students who returned to WES prior to their High School graduation at North. This was a special time for all.
I would like to recognize Mrs. Laura Mariotti, our recess aide who has served 23 years at Wrightstown Elementary! Today Mrs. Mariotti supervised her last recess periods as she is retiring. We are grateful for her years of service and wish her much adventure and gratification in this next chapter.
I would like to send one last final congratulations to our sixth-grade graduates! Best of luck next year! We will miss you and hope you visit!
I am looking ahead to next school year with great enthusiasm and want to extend my sincere thanks for your support. On behalf of the Wrightstown Staff, I wish you and your family a happy and healthy summer season!
Sincerely,
Beth

Stop the Summer Slide with these ELA Resources!
In order to combat the summer slide, it is important that you continue working on reading and writing activities throughout the summer. It is amazing how a little reading and writing daily can curb the summer slide. If you could carve out just 30 minutes a day for reading and writing activities, it truly will help keep your child stay on track for the upcoming school year.
Check out the information below for ELA activities to keep your children growing all summer long! My website will also be up all summer long as a reference to locate summer activities, as well as family book clubs and suggestions for summer reading.
Enjoy every day this summer with your family - laughing, playing, and READING together!

Please have all forms sent in prior to the first day of school. Also, stay tuned for instructions on medication pick-up day. Remember that we cannot store medications over the summer.
